VRBO - Connecting Existing Properties - VRBO Platform to NextPax

This article describes the process of an accommodation partner that is already contracted with VRBO and has been using the VRBO dashboard/platform before and want to now have their accommodations connected and managed through NextPax as their channel manager.

 

Existing partners that already have an advertiser ID with Vrbo and are having already properties on Vrbo, for which they would like to use NextPax as their channel manager, need to take the below process on getting their current properties connected and mapped, and to sync up all past reservations for future dates towards our system, so we can manage cancellations and changes automatically.

In order to start this process the client needs to go to Channels --> Connect Properties and select Vrbo as the channel. A pop-up appears which is asking the accommodation partner whether or not they already selected NextPax in the Self Service Onboarding (SSO) wizard. If not done so, select Open SSO Wizard or click I have already switched.

Once you confirm this button a region selector will open up, which we need to double confirm before we can open the SSO wizard. Kindly select your Vrbo region you are signed up to and then click Open SSO Wizard, the next steps are taken in the VRBO SSO Wizard, where you'll select NextPax as the connectivity partner.

Once the Open SSO Wizard is selected a pop-up will appear to ensure you reconfirm the Vrbo live site you are contracted on: 

Once this is confirmed you are taken to Onboarding SSO Wizard, where you can start and connect the connectivity switch to NextPax. It will first ask whether you already have a Vrbo account.

As you are already having an account with Vrbo select YES here. After that it will ask whether you use currently already another property management system / channel manager. 

As you are moving from the VRBO dashboard/platform where you managed everything manually, over to connectivity via NextPax - select YES. Once YES is selected than the following page will appear, as it will ask you to login to your existing VRBO account.

After you have logged in, it will direct you to the following screen stating the system you are migrating from the Vrbo Dashboard towards connectivity via NextPax. 

Once 'Continue' is clicked, the following screen appears.

This screen will inform you as to what is about to happen with this connectivity switch. Once you click continue the following screen will appear.

Write NextPax in the first box as the software, and in the 2nd box the Advertiser ID.

How to find your VRBO Advertiser ID in NextPax?

1. Login to CORE

2. Select the right Property Manager in the top right corner

3. Navigate to Channels --> Channel Settings --> VRBO 

4. You'll find the Advertiser ID prepopulated under Credentials

Once the right details are there, you pressed continue, the following screen will appear to reconfirm the currency that will be used as the main currency.

Once you press continue it will also ask to re-confirm the credit card for commission payments. 

Once that is verified and you pressed continue, this screen will appear, which is the end-screen of the SSO onboarding Wizard

After this, you should navigate back to NextPax CORE, select the right Property Manager in the top right corner and Navigate to Channels --> Connect Properties --> VRBO

And now you should select: I have already switched

Once you confirm you have switched to NextPax via the Self Service Onboarding (SSO) Wizard of Vrbo and the advertiser ID is present in the NextPax Channel Settings for VRBO, we can continue with the next process. If there are any properties to map, we showcase them and then the accommodation partner can click 'connect properties'

We will serve the properties within the screen and now you can map your existing listings from Vrbo with the properties created in NextPax Core. An accommodation partner can also decide to archive a Vrbo listing, in case they don't have that property any longer.

Note: In case you have a property that you can't match, but you still have it, you might need to create that property first in NextPax Core. Depending which system you use, the process of property creation in NextPax Core, is different.

Once the listings are mapped and confirmed by the accommodation partner a pop-up will appear to reconfirm the property mapping and start the process.

 NextPax then start the importing process of the listings, the mapping process and also reservations for future dates are being imported. Once this process is completed you'll get a pop-up mentioning that the properties are now connected successfully.

For a full overview on whether you have connected and mapped all your existing properties you can then close the pop-up and view the screen under Connect Properties again. For double checking your imported bookings for future dates - you can go to Bookings.
