Track Hospitality - NextPax Enablement Process

This guide walks you through the steps in Track Hospitality to connect your accommodations to NextPax as your channel manager, and how to setup each individual channel.

1. Creating a New Channel

1. In Track, go to Configuration > Distribution Channels (under Property Management).

2. Click the green Create Channel button in the top-right corner.

  1. From the drop-down menu, select NextPax and click Submit.

  2. The customer will need to complete the Channel setup page.

    • All checkboxes under the API Settings section can be selected.

    • Click Save Channel once complete.

  3. If the All Units Available checkbox does not automatically allow unit data to flow, the customer must manually enable the desired units in each unit’s configuration.

Note: This step may require creating an additional Reservation Type and Net Commission Payment Method.

2. Obtaining the Endpoint, Key, and Secret

1. After creating the new channel, return to the Channels list.

2. Click Edit next to the newly created NextPax channel.

3. On the right-hand side, you’ll find the Endpoint, Key, and Secret — these credentials must be entered in the NextPax platform. Each customer has their own unique credentials.

4. If Server Keys are required, please contact your NextPax onboarding contact for additional instructions.

3. Creating a New Reservation Type

1. Go to Configuration > Reservation Types (under Reservations).

2. Click the green + Reservation Type button in the top-right corner.

3. Complete the required setup fields, using the Page Help if needed.

4.Click Save Type, and associate this Reservation Type with the new NextPax channel if necessary.

4. Enabling the Channel for Rate Types and Reservation Fees

To ensure rates and fees flow correctly from Track to NextPax:

1. Go to Property Management > Rate Types.

2. Click Edit next to the applicable Rate Type.

3. In the configuration, add NextPax (or the dedicated channel) in the Channels multi-select field.

4. Click Save Rate Type.

5. Repeat this process for any Reservation Fees that apply.

If multiple channels are being used, repeat these steps for each one.

5. Creating a Net Commission Payment Method

Only use this method when the booking platform (e.g., Airbnb) acts as Merchant-of-Record (MOR).
If the guest’s payment is processed by your own payment processor, do not use a Net Commission Payment Method.

1. Go to Configuration > Payment Methods (under Accounting).

2. Click the green + Payment Method button.

3. Fill in the required details and click Save Type.

4. Associate this payment method with the new NextPax channel if applicable.

5.The customer may need to create additional Asset (Ledger) or Commission (Ledger) accounts.

Note: If some channels are MOR and others are not, separate Track channels must be created, as one channel cannot support multiple payment methods.

6. Configuring Tax Remittance

Only required when the platform (NextPax) collects or remits taxes on behalf of the property.

  1. Go to Configuration > Taxes (under Taxes).

  2. Click Edit next to the applicable tax item.

  3. Under Channel Distribution Settings, select NextPax in the Channel Tax Remittance field.

  4. Click Save Tax.

  5. Repeat for any additional applicable taxes.

7. Review Triggers and Automations

Customers should review their Triggers and Automations to ensure the new NextPax channel is correctly included or excluded where appropriate.
