Policies & Rate-Plans - Property Policies

This article describes the general property policies page on accommodation partner level. Here a partner can apply generic policies that apply for all accommodations.

Within the section Policies & Rate-Plans, the Property Policies page allows accommodation partners to define the property policies which they would like to apply to all accommodations. If then on accommodation level they would like to differentiate it per property that can also be applied, but on this page we focus on those policies that you may want to set on partner level.

Children & Pets Policies

For families travelling with children and staying at your accommodations it is welcomed if clear policies are defined for when booking with children. There are different questions that can be answered to define your policies for children.

For people travelling with pets it would be nice to understand if your properties are suitable for pets and how many pets are allowed in the property.

Security Deposit and Key Collection

In case accommodation partners would like to work with a security deposit for their accommodations it can be set here. The amount can be specified, when and how it should be paid and what the refund policy is looking like. 

For Key Collection methods the accommodation partner can define the way the keys of the accommodation can be picked up. This especially comes in handy when managing vacation rental accommodations, although we also support instructions for hotel/resort/holiday park type of accommodations. 

Parking & Internet Policies

Here accommodation partners are able to provide the policies regarding parking. What kind of parking is offered, whether it is for free or against a surchage, whether reservations are needed and if valet parking is offered.

For internet policies, one can identity what kind of internet is being offered at the accommodations, if it is offered for free and where it is offered.

House Rules & Guest Information

This section focuses on the house rules and specifics related to guests of the accommodations and the expectations of the hosts towards the guests.

Under Guest Information, the accommodation partner can define the booking model for their accommodations (whether this is instant booking or on-request) and furthermore some additional questions are being asked about whether specific information should be provided by the traveller.

 

For guest expectations, accommodation partners can indicate which tasks they would like the guests to carry out when checking out from an accommodation. At the moment this is distributed to Airbnb only and to other channels connected via our Distribution API. Please be reminded that setting these tasks may come across as inhospitable, but if you do expect guests to do it, it is better to inform them upfront.
