Property - General Information - Photos

This articles showcases all information on how photos are managed within NextPax Core, both for single unit properties and multi-unit properties, with their respective unit-types.

When an user navigates to the 2nd tab under general information, they will land at the photos sub-menu. In here we manage the photos of a particular accommodation. The 'Property Photos' represent all available photos for distribution towards the channels. The 'External Photos' are available photos in the import mechanism, but not yet downloaded in Core and not available for distribution towards the channels.

The top left photo is always the main picture used for the advertisement on a channel, one can reorganize the order of the photos by clicking 'Reorder Photos' on the top right.

Moreso, aside from the imported photos, accommodation partners can also upload manually pictures to NextPax Core. This is very helpful, in case a user wants:

- to add new pictures.

- to add the pictures, because their PMS doesn't support the image distribution.

Once manually imported, the user can also decide to delete again a picture. Pictures that are imported, cannot be deleted manually from Core.

Let's go a bit deeper into the image tiles, to discover what kind of functionalities are supported. For this we are taking the first images, which are also the promiment images of the advertisement at a channel.

Imported label: The image has been imported, otherwise it will mention 'manually added'.

The icon on the top right, when you click that one, it will lead you to the NextPax Image URL and open the photo in a separate tab.

Then the accommodation partner also has the opportunity to provide a name to the photo

And at last they provide an image tag. Image tags are conversion drivers for many distribution channels, and so it's important to give the right tag to a picture. Most of the image tags are imported from the PMS, but in case it doesn't happen, or you would like to give another tag, use the drop-down to find the right tag.

Managing Photos for Single Units vs. Multi-Units with Unit Types

When managing photos within NextPax it is important to understand which photos should be shown where, when it comes to distributing them correctly to the channels. Especially when dealing with Multi-Units there are some guidelines.

Single Unit Properties and Photos

All photos are under the single unit, meaning photos of the property, surroundings, all available rooms, bathrooms and other areas. When distributed to the channel NextPax takes care of the correct distribution towards channels.

Multi Unit Properties and Photos

At the multi-unit property, the accommodation partner is showcasing more the pictures that are related to the overall layout, provided services and utilities on hotel, resort, holiday park level.

Then in it's respective unit-type property, the cottage, house, room, apartment type, the unit-type level photos will illustrate the photos of a bookable unit type.
