Onboarding - Connecting Existing properties already on Trip.com

This article will inform you on the process where you as an accommodation partner can connect existing properties from the Trip.com platform to our channel manager.

When you join NextPax channel manager as an accommdation partner, while you were already working with Trip.com it's likely that you already have an agreement and account with them. In order for you to connect those properties with NextPax we have a special flow, but first why do you want to connect existing properties:

  • You can keep your property reviews, ranking placement and advertisement details
  • We can enrich the content, meaning if you have ticked amenities on Booking.com, but not yet in our solution, we can automatically import those. (images excluded)
  • We can match already built room types, rate-plans and cancellation policies - with what we have in the channel manager.

Let's look at the pre-requisites for connecting the existing properteis from Trip.com.

1. First the accommodations need to be available in the NextPax application.

2. The accommodation partner's account settings need to be completed.

3. The Trip.com channel settings need to be completed.

Once all pre-requisites are met by the accommodation partner, they can start with connecting their existing accommodations on Trip.com with their accommodations provided through NextPax. This is a multi-step process, which is working the same in scenario A and B:

Scenario A: Accommodation Partner is switching from another channel magement product over to NextPax.

Scenario B: Accommodation Partner is switching from manual management in Trip.com eBooking towards synchronised distribution via NextPax.

1. Within NextPax: Activate Trip.com as Channel and activate Trip.com for the accommodations that you wish to manage via NextPax. Please provide the Trip.com codes if you have these.

2. NextPax will provide the mapping towards Trip.com and push the properties via API.

3. Trip.com will complete the transfer process and mapping process.
