Onboarding - Connecting existing properties already on Expedia

This article explains how to connect NextPax as your channel manager in Expedia Partner Central. Once connected, NextPax will automatically synchronize availability, rates, reservations, guest messaging, and reviews between your system and Expedia Group. The connection is managed directly within Expedia Partner Central and only takes a few minutes to complete.

    NextPax can be connected to Expedia Partner Central as your connectivity provider, allowing automated synchronisation of availability, rates, reservations, messaging, and reviews. This article explains how to establish the connection directly in Expedia Partner Central. But before this process is started there are a couple of pre-requisites that have to be met.

    Let's look at the pre-requisites for connecting the existing properties from Expedia.

    1. First the accommodations need to be available in our channel management solution NextPax Core. If this is not the case yet, this should be completed first.

    2. The account settings need to be completed.

    3. The channel/export settings need to be completed, please contact support@nextpax.com to complete this action for you.

    Note: Please only enable the accommodations for Expedia and Expedia as a channel after you have connected NextPax in Expedia Partner Central as the associated channel manager.

    Accessing Connectivity Settings

    Log in to Expedia Partner Central and navigate to Rooms and rates → Connectivity settings. On this page, Expedia allows you to choose which connectivity provider manages your inventory and reservation data. Select Get started to begin the connection flow.

    Selecting NextPax as Provider

    Within the provider selection screen, search for and select NextPax from the list of available connectivity providers. Once NextPax is selected, continue to the service configuration screen.

    Enabling NextPax Services

    Expedia will display the services supported by NextPax. These include:

    • Availability and Rates

    • Reservations

    • Messaging

    • Reviews

    Expedia requires Availability and Rates and Reservations to be connected together. Service selections are therefore linked and must be enabled in tandem. Enable the desired services and proceed to the confirmation screen. For accommodation partners using NextPax it is highly recommended to enable all services when connecting.

    Confirming the Connection

    The confirmation screen provides an overview of the services that will be connected via NextPax. Carefully review the selection and confirm the connection. Once confirmed, Expedia activates the integration with NextPax.

    After the Connection Is Completed

    After connecting NextPax, as your channel manager in Expedia Partner Central, please enable Expedia for your accommodations in NextPax. After this, your property will begin syncing data automatically. Rates, availability, reservations, guest messages, and reviews will be exchanged according to the enabled services.
