Channel Settings - Vrbo

This section describes the channel-settings that accommodation partners should complete when they are onboarding to Vrbo

This page informs you as the accommodation partner about the channel settings of Vrbo and how to fill this page in correctly. One can navigate to this page via Channels → Channel Settings, or via Channel - Channel Overview - Vrbo and then via the quick-link to Channel Settings. It will open this screen, with all the settings available for Vrbo:

Credentials

Under credentials we will populate the advertiser ID we will use for the time that the partners are distributing to Vrbo via NextPax. In the onboarding process you will need to have this ID ready when going through the Self Service Onboarding Wizard of Vrbo. 

Booking Settings

Booking Policy: this is to indicate what the accommodation partner wants to use as booking policy, they can work either with instant-book or with request to book. The preferred method for us is instant-book as this generally converts more guests, in bookers, and thus more commission for NextPax.

Credit Card Note: Here accommodation partners can leave a short note to guests that are using a credit card for payment - it is not required.

Min prior notify: Here we set the minimum amount of lead time, in this example set at 1 day.

Payment due days & Required % at time of booking: Here the accommodation partner installs the preferred prepayment policy on all their bookings.

Content Settings

The Default Locale of the Advertiser on VRBO: Here you can select the default language of your descriptions on VRBO, please also make sure that you then have these descriptions in the selected language ready. 

Disable Property Reviews: In the event we are gathering/importing property reviews from the accommodation partner, we can decide to share or not share these with Vrbo.

Use headline as property name: In case you rather want to use the headline description type as your poperty name, instead of the property name. Select yes.

Show exact location: Here you can decide to showcase the exact location of the property on Vrbo. NextPax preferred way is to do this, as this leads to more accurate information on the channel.

Export MU amenities Here accommodation partners of multi-units can also ensure that their hotel-level amenities are shared on the unit types they distribute to Vrbo, since Vrbo does not offer a Multi-Unit level advertisement on their website (like Booking.com and Expedia do).

Pricing Settings

Pricing Policy: Here an accommodation partner can choose between guaranteed, vs. quote hold. Our standard setup is guaranteed.

Pricing Offset: This setting will allow bookings to be accepted even when a small difference exists in the source pricing and channel pricing. 

Allow Taxes on Fees: Mainly a feature that will be used on US accommodation partners. This will calculate taxes for fees.

Pricing Model Length of Stay: If put to yes, we will use LOS Pricing, else Daily Rates.

Multi PMC Settings

Important: Only use if you have multiple property manager accounts in Core, that need to go on 1 agreement with Vrbo.

In case you have multiple property manager accounts in NextPax Core and you would like to bundle these on the same Vrbo agreement, we need to create the Multi-PMC setup. If this is the case kindly open a ticket with NextPax Support to help you with this.

Multi-PMC Advertiser: In order to understand which accounts need to be merged with eachtother, on each of the accounts you need to select that it is a multi-pmc advertiser. Set to yes, if this is the case, else leave on no.

Is Multi-PMC Parent: One of the accounts shall be selected as the multi-pmc parent. So on 1 account you should select yes, the rest is no

Link to Multi-PMC Parent: All the accounts that are not the parent, you need to link it to the parent property manager. For the parent itself you leave this empty.

Payment Settings

Payment method scheduled collected fees: Select the payment method used for scheduled collected fees. This is for offline fee collection.
 

Payment invoice note: Related to the “payment invoice” setting. Extra text information can be provided to guests on the channel.

Payment invoice: This setting allows invoice to be a payment option for guests.

General Settings

T&C URL Link: Here the accommodation partner can deliver a URL link - the url link should be ending as a PDF document though. URL’s to websites where the T&C’s are loaded and where users can click-out potentially to other pages (book direct pages) are not allowed.
